JACL Arizona Chapter Scholarships
Application Deadline: March 1, 2026
Invest in your community and your education. Submit your completed application to the Arizona Chapter Scholarship Committee by March 1. No exceptions or extensions will be granted.
1. Sara Hutchings Clardy Scholarships (High School Seniors)
Are you an Arizona high school senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher? You could be one of four students to receive a $2,500.00 scholarship!
Eligibility: Open to students (or children of parents) who have been JACL Arizona Chapter members for at least one year.
Special Named Awards: Includes the Herbert Jensen, Nakagawa, Kishiyama, and Joe Allman Scholarships.
Engagement: We value your community spirit! Special consideration is given to those who volunteer for JACL activities.
Interview: Connect with us through a mandatory in-person interview (or pre-approved video conference).

2. NEW! College Student Scholarships (Undergraduate & Graduate)
We are thrilled to announce a new scholarship program specifically for students already enrolled in higher education. We are awarding up to two $2,000.00 scholarships to help you cross the finish line.
Who can apply: Current full-time students at any accredited U.S. college, university, or trade school for the Fall 2026 term.
Membership Requirement: Applicants must hold their own Individual or Student/Youth membership in the JACL Arizona Chapter. (Note: Parent memberships do not apply for this specific award).
Opportunity: Even if you’ve won a JACL scholarship before, you are eligible for up to two total lifetime awards!
